Dr. Thomas Ascol

Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Ministry

Tom is a native Texan and a graduate of Texas A&M (BS in Sociology) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div & Ph.D in theology). The focus of his research has been Baptist and pastoral theology. In 1986, after serving two churches in Texas, Tom moved to Cape Coral, Florida to pastor Grace Baptist Church, a position he continues in today. He is the author of From the Protestant Reformation to the Southern Baptist Convention: What Hath Geneva to Do with Nashville? and has edited several books, including the Truth and Grace Memory Books (3 vols.) and Dear Timothy. Tom has contributed articles to several publications including TabletalkThe Expositor’s MagazineSouthwestern Journal of Theology, Banner of Truth, and the Founders Journal. He is also the Executive Director of Founders Ministries. Tom and his wife, Donna, have six adult children and seven grandchildren.
