Dr. S.M. Baugh

Visiting Professor of New Testament

Dr. S.M. Baugh is Professor of New Testament at Westminster Seminary California, where he has taught since 1983. As a minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, he is also active in the ministry at Escondido OPC. He has received two B.A. degrees from the University of Oregon, an M.A.R. and M.Div. from Westminster Seminary California, and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Baugh has authored and contributed to several works, including the main Greek textbooks used at Westminster Seminary California: New Testament Greek for Interpreters, and A First John Reader. As his work on these textbooks shows, he has a passion for Greek and an interest in more effective and integrated Greek instruction at the seminary. Dr. Baugh and his wife Kathy live in Escondido California and have two adult daughters and a son.
